Welcome to Cathrine’s home redesign and staging services.  What is home redesign?  Redesign is helping you create a space you love using the things you already have and maybe adding a few new ones.  You saw the picture on Pinterest.  You bought the things and yet, you can’t quite make it work.  Or maybe you are stuck in a rut and don’t know what you want.  You just know what you have isn't working.  Together, we’ll come up with a plan.  We’ll put that plan in motion and before you know it, you have THE look and feel that was in your head all along.

Whether you’re ready to make a few changes or you need a complete home makeover, Cathrine’s can help you create spaces you love and enjoy.

The living-dining room in this 120 yr old farmhouse was taken out of the dark ages and into today with a fresh and bright palette. A little mid-century modern. A little farmhouse. A little heirloom. Together, a space to enjoy and soak up the natural light.

We repurposed many of the home’s furnishings but added a few new pieces like this rectangular dining room table. The blue buffet was formerly a dresser in a guest bedroom.

Before

This living-dining room was cozy, but very dark. Oversized furniture filled the space making it feel smaller than it was.

Before

Most of the furniture in the space was along one wall and the round table wasn’t leaving enough walk space to get from the kitchen into the room.

Before

Long and narrow, furniture placement in the room was a challenge.

After

Lighter walls and streamlined furniture create an open and brighter feel.

Details Matter

Using an old dry sink for the bar area allowed some extra storage underneath. The vintage mirror with the quirky iron piece adds some whimsy to the space.

The sofa table is an antique ironing board.

This trunk has been in the family for years. Reimagined, it becomes a side table by adding hairpin legs to the bottom.

Reinventing this dresser into a buffet created storage as well an area for showcasing family heirlooms.
